Privacy Policy

Gimmy ("the app") is a fitness and nutrition app operated by the Gimmy team ("we"). This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices.

What we collect

Account data: your email address (or Apple ID identifier when you use Sign in with Apple) and authentication credentials, to operate your account.

Profile and fitness data you enter: body details (sex, date of birth, height, weight, goals), gym equipment, workouts and logged sets, and the food you log — stored so the app can function and sync across your devices.

Progress photos (optional): stored privately to your account. A photo is sent for AI analysis only after you explicitly agree, and only to produce training tips for you.

Apple Health (optional): with your permission, Gimmy reads body weight, workouts, active energy and steps, and writes workouts, weight and dietary energy. Health data is used inside the app's features and is never sold or used for advertising.

Subscription status: we store your App Store subscription state (product, expiry) to unlock Pro features. Payments are processed entirely by Apple; we never see your payment details.

AI processing

Food descriptions, workout-generation inputs, and (with consent) progress photos are processed by our AI provider (OpenAI) via our servers to power the corresponding features. Inputs are not used by us to train models.

What we don't do

We do not sell your data, show ads, or use third-party advertising or cross-app tracking.

Storage and security

Data is stored with Supabase (EU region, Postgres with row-level security) so only your authenticated account can access your rows. Transport is HTTPS/TLS everywhere.

Your choices

You can edit or delete individual entries in the app. Deleting your account (Profile → Delete Account) permanently removes your account, rows, and stored photos. Revoke Apple Health access anytime in the Health app; revoke photo consent in Profile.
